LCD Soundsystem at the Bowl

LCD Soundsystem brought their precise, patient energy to the Hollywood Bowl last month, turning the venue into a space both expansive and intimate. Led by James Murphy, the band delivered layered, controlled performances that balanced tension and release, letting songs breathe while carrying the audience along.

Opening with “Us vs Them,” the band eased into the set before erupting into full synth and rhythm, filling the Bowl with an energy that was both physical and understated. Murphy moved effortlessly between guitar, harmonica, and vocals, letting the music itself shape the room while the crowd absorbed each moment with quiet intensity.

Throughout the set, the Bowl responded to the band’s rhythm: soft murmurs, scattered laughter, and subtle sways coalesced into a shared pulse. The night reached its peak with the final notes of “All My Friends,” Murphy’s anthem of quiet desperation and communal release, leaving the audience suspended in its tension and euphoria long after the last chord rang out.
